first cycle--my thoughts as I enter wk 8

Just thought I'd share my experience........

Its my first cycle---500 enan, 300 deca (tommorrow begins wk 8)

Well, I've been a competitive powerlifter for 9 years now. My total had been stuck at 1650-1705 (220 bodyweight) for over 3 years and on December 6, I finally took the plunge and decided to get my total moving upward once again.

Although I've only gained a pound or two of bodyweight, I must've leaned out a little, because my upper back and traps are visibly thicker (although if you look at me from the front, I don't look much different). My strength gains aren't extreme, but just making progress again is a joy for a guy who just busted his ass through a 3-year plateau.

I've prolly had a grand total of 5 "your gettin' big" comments..........which, even though its a treat, I was expecting to put on so much mass that I had to make up excuses to keep people from finding out my secret. I just hit a personal deadlift for the firt time in years (even if it was just a 15 pound personal record), but I'm just not seeing the crazy results that others claim..........who knows, myabe its cause many people don't train seriously till they're on a cycle, whereas I've been going full steam all along.

The one thing that has DEFINATELY gone through the roof is my sex drive (hell, thats the only thing keeping me from suspecting fake gear). I can't keep off of my wife for more than a few hours and when I do charm her into the bedroom, I bust dat ass like its never been busted before.

Anyway, thats my story.....got 4 more weeks till my first "untested" meet. Who knows, maybe I'll surprise myself and let loose on a mega total after all..............but even if steroids don't turn out to be the miracle I expected, at least my wife got to feel like the prettiest gal in the world (every day) for 12 straight weeks.

Just wondering why those were ur drugs of choice?
Tren, susp, prop, winny, var, etc. Would've or could've been a lot more effective for strength gains and not moving u up in weight class.
IMHO of course

Actually, when I say I only gained 1-2 pounds, that only tells part of the story. For years, I kept my weight around 230 and would dehydrate to 220 for competitions.

Well, after my last meet (October) I decided I needed to gain weight if I was ever going to get the most out of my 5'11" frame..........most of the top 220 lifters are significantly shorter (being compact helps the leverages).

So, between October 17 and December 19 (when my gear kicked in) I naturally gained 18 crappy pounds........and was 248 on x-mas eve.

This morning I weighed 250.........only 2 pounds since the sauce kicked in, but I definately look a little leaner than I did around x-mas.

The reason I chose test and deca is cause at 5'11", I NEED to gain weight........eventually, after several cycles, I hope to fill out the 275 class. That is optimal for my height.

Now, don't get me wrong..........my squat and bench are way up, but if you factor in my additional bodyweight, I haven't improved all that much (by wilks formula) as a powerlifter.

Dbol will be added into my next cycle.........in time, I definately hope to add tren as well. Unfortunately, even my little girly cycle I'm on now has produced some crappy side effects. So, its a good thing I didn't dive right into tren......coulda been ugly.

At those doses you should have seen more results if your diet was in check and your gear was real. My first was 500mg/wk of enth for 10 weeks and I gained 30lbs and kept 20lbs (250 ==>280). You might want to take a look at your diet. IMO

My diet is pretty much like this:

6am---2 peanut butter/jelly sandwiches, glass skim milk
(sometimes whole wheat waffles or bagles)

9:30am---protein shaken (40 grams whey)

12:30pm---2 cafeteria-style luches (double everything/anything)

4:00pm---protein shake (40 grams whey)

6:30pm---massive dinner (never any leftovers, regardless of how much the wife cooks)

10:30pm---protein shake (40 grams whey)

I've always shocked people with the quantity of food I consume.........I guess the only thing I've changed about my diet is that I used to consume 1-2 shakes a day, but since starting the cycle, it is 3 shakes EVERY day.

when I added 18 crappy pounds from October-December, the only thing I did different was sip on 2%, high-protein milk throughout the day.........ended out being about 3/4 gallon per day.

Not sure.......but I'd give my left nut to slap on 30-pounds of beef like others claim they have on their first cycle.

I agree....I had exactly the same cycle....500 mg/wk of test enth, and kept 20 of the 30 lbs....(175 to 212)...all I've lost since then was water weight and fat. But maybe I just hadn't realized my natural potential, although after training for ten years I thought I had, but you might be right about your theory. I would post pics of the enth on here, and let some of the bros determine whether it's real or not. Good luck!
