How can i convince a friend not to...
So basically, i know this guy who is 18 years old and about to go back on roids. He's been on before but had to stop training due to a broken wrist. A lot of people are worried about this kid sinse he's so young. its very hard to convince him of anything because he really knows alot about steriods and their effects. Anyways, im hoping someone can post some info i can give him to help convince him to stay off. Right now, he's convinced that with proper supplements and what not, you can use roids with out any negative short term or long term affects what so ever. Any advice would be greatly appreciated... thanks,
j ps... he's been training hard sinse the 8th grade

I personally don't know any tricks to it. It's human nature that when someone has there mind made up, it's near impossible to change it directly. Your probably going to have to find and indirect consequence to have a chance. He's done it before so anything you give him about gear, he will just take in as another risk, and he will just think it will never happen to him.

Bump shibby. If my wife were not up my ass about the legalities and the fact we have a kid , Id be juiced to the gills, even though I have had bad sides b4. Like Bouncer said.. it is addictive. You always think it will be someone else.

If he's 18, he is too young. Put a foot in his ass and tell him to wait on gear

If he's already done it before, there's little chance you're going to talk him out of doing it again.

Jordan, its sounds as though your freind has done the right thing and taken steps to educate himself about anabolics and if he knows how to correctly use them and mitigate any side effects then its his decision at the end of the day. Its not for you or anyone else to decide for him, at 18 he is an adult. What you can do is support him in educating him further in a non bias way.
That will ensure that he is makes any decisions based on informed choice instead of ignorance. Idealistically, Yes 18 is perhaps a couple of years premature to commence anabolic therapy, but the reality is that many people do take AAS in their teenage years, in fact I'm sure others will agree that many proffessional bodybuilders begun AAS therapy in their teenage years along with other current top flight atheletes and people generally considered to be successeful individuals.

ya, i realise this post is probably in vain... i actually dont even know the guy. i know someone who knows the guy who wanted advice. ill be honest, i really dont know a great deal about steroids but it sounded like this guy was misinformed. he seems to think that with proper cycling and supplements, he will avoid all side effects, acute and chronic. i was hoping that someone had some frightening statistics that could scare him out of going back on. anyways, thanks for the help

Like someone had said above .. I feel that if he has already done the stuff before than he probably could care less what anyone says.. He feels "cheated" cause he broke his wrist most likely .. and now ..he wants to go all the way through with it ..just my 2cc's ..
its very hard to try to tell someone whos already done them that they shoudnt do it anymore ...because you remember how you feel when on them... and how you look..etc .. |
