lee labrada. .classic physique. .
not the biggest, not the tallest but as anyone knows who followed his career, he was called the "gatekeeper" because he was in the top 3 of the olympia for so many years. . .you had to get past him to win.

Why isn't Lee Haney featured? I'd say he had a much more aethetically pleasing physique than some of those listed any day of the week?

Yates was amazing, plus he's only an hour down the road from me, so I suppose I should show my support for a fellow country-man, but Arnold is still the bomb. Seeing Arnold in Pumping Iron the first time is what got me into training.

I definitely feel that Arnold was in deed the best since he contributed so much and dubbed the name of the sport "bodybuilding." However, I have never enjoyed watching someone train like Dorian Yates... I reccomend his training video Blood and Guts to anyone who loves being screamed at by a juiced up maniac. Lee I would have to say has one of the most pleasing physiques of all time, he is the giant killer, the superman of bodybuilding... but only slightly falling right behind the most astetically please bodybuilder of all time Flex Wheeler, who without a doubt has the best physique in the history of the sport. All of them are phenomenal athletes, but I feel as soon as Ronnie retires which I dont see happening in the near future, Ronnie will be titled the greatest bodybuilder of all time... Light weight BABAAAAY!!!

Arnie for sure. You have to know where the sport started. Modern bodybuilders are not aesthetically pleasing to me just massive.

Wouldn't consider him the best, but Gary Strydom was pretty damn good.

Of those you listed, Columbo, because I am partial to hot, dark, thick men. In pictures, he looks phenomenal. In person, that may be another story, because I also like my men tall. Huh... which should I sacrifice?

"Experiencing this pain in my muscles and aching and going on and on is my challenge. The last three or four reps is what makes the muscles grow. This area of pain divides a champion from someone who is not a champion. That's what most people lack, having the guts to go on and just say they'll go through the pain no matter what happens. I have no fear of fainting. I do squats until I fall over and pass out. So what? It's not going to kill me. I wake up five minutes later and I'm OK. A lot of other athletes are afraid of this. So they don't pass out. They don't go on." |
