Waiting to reach natural potential

I've been thinking about his question for a while now and I have never heard a clear arguement for this exact thing.

My point is: You dont want to use AAS before 21, preferabley 24-25 because of the health issues. You also dont want to use if youre just looking for a 6 pack to impress the sorority girls.

Whats the reasoning behind waiting to reach your natural potential? If youre eating right, training right, sleeping enough and seeing gains, what are the downsides to running some test to help speed up the muscle growth?

The only thing I can really some up with is possible tendon/ligament problems because of the rapid weight increase and the same side effects that would come from using gear near ones natural limit.

Its just that, "natural pontential". Why not see how far your body can go naturally before adding something to it. By not allowing yourself to reach your natural potential you rob yourself the "truth" of knowing just how good you could be.

To add, Im not sure I even believe in natural potential. I think we set limits in our minds. Now im not saying that little "peewee shitthepants" that lives down the street could ever look like Ronnie Coleman. What im saying is that, who are we to say that little "peewee shitthepants" would reach a certain point in which he could no longer grow. What I say to that is, train harder, eat more, lift heavier..

i always see all over the board "eat eat eat" and i know this means to eat right, but if you eat to the point where your not really all that lean as you wanted while on your way to your "natural potential". would it be considered un-natural or "cheating" if you added a bit of cytomel, clen, or some t3 in your diet to cut you up...just wondering

Honestly, I dont really care about what is considered "natural" or not. Mostly because it's pretty debateable anyway. I was thinking more of from a physical or health standpoint. Suppose "peeweeshitpants" is not terribly concerned with his natural potential except fot the fact that he wants to surpass it.

It's like the calculus concept of limit...just as a function continues to approach a certain value, yet never reaches that value, I think we can view the concept of one's natural limit.

I believe that, for example, to beat a fallen horse, what Barry Bonds is doing is past his natural limit. I don't think that without the help of AAS he would have been able to, at 34, add muscle mass the way he did.

Taking a different example, you can change your diet, change your workouts, add supplements all you want, but there is a point out there somewhere that you won't be able to surpass. Where is that point? somewhere between being 5'9 and what you are now, maybe 185-205, and 5'9, 300.

The trick is, there is seemingly always some kind of adjustment you can make to grow a little more; often, people are far below their natural limit and think they're closer than they really are
