aas to use along with finasteride?

What aas would be ok to use along with finasteride? From what I read that the finasteride cancels some of them out rendering them useless? Its because of the 5 alpha reduction?

Pretty much test is good to go with finasteride. Things like deca, tren and proviron is a no no. Finasteride isn't going to be a cure all though, you're prone to baldness so it'll slow it down but don't expect it to go away. Dutasteride is a bit better, but you have to remember that eliminating dht isn't all that great. You just have to see what's more important to you, your hair, or your training.

dht in scalp is really all I want to eliminate but is this really possible with these new shampoos? I have heard of several shampoos claiming to rid scalp of dht. I just dont think this is possible. Or at least I dont understand how a washing of the scalp could rid a hormone from under the scalp(skin).

OH.. sorry I forgot to mention. Would the finasteride have an effect on on pct or estrogen management. I was thinking if only running test maybe running a little arimidex with it, and nolva for pct.

It seems as if, from what i've read that the estrogen effect from finasteride is quite minimal. (i guess it would vary from person to person though). As far as PCT management you wouldn't have to change anything.

well I have the finasteride scrip now, I wonder if this will help with my being prone to acne as well, last test, deca, nolva pct cycle gave me severe acne on my shoulders.

Anyone know of Gyno caused from finasteride? I read this is a possible side and occurs from time to time in some men. Maybe a little nolva or arimidex in with the test, finasteride stack?

Finasteride targets the enzyme that causes dht conversion mainly in the scalp. The enzyme in your skin is better targeted by dutasteride. So you probably won't see much as far as acne treatment. Gyno would be a result of the lowered dht levels. A little nolva or letro couldn't hurt.

If the finasteride is gonna lower the dht could I get away with taking the more powerful androgens that cause the hair loss etc......Would the finasteride totally cancel out the androgen sides but still give me the anabolic effect im looking to get?

edit: Wow there is alot of people complaining about crazy sides from this drug all over the net......anyone here having an experience with this drug please tell me what its done for and to you.....I just got it filled and im afraid to take it lol

t3chnin3,

I have been taking Propecia for the past 3 years and haven't had any problems; no gyno, and no lowered sex drive. As for AAS, definately avoid nandrolones as they have a negative reaction with finasteride and can accellerate hairloss. Stay away from tren, winny, and any other DHT-like drugs to prevent hairloss. I've done several cycles that have included: test, equipoise, anavar, and turinabol since I've been on finasteride, and haven't had any ill-effects...my hairline is holding strong. I also use Nizoral shampoo every other day, as that has been shown to help with DHT in the scalp.

thanks for the replies, my test levels just came in at 270 wich I was told im in the bottom of the normal range (250-800). I think its either hrt time or cycle time. I was worried that eliminating the dht whilst off cycle might let the estro take over lol. I do not want gyno.

Turns out theres a generic version of the drug under the name proscar. Its 5 mg instead of 1mg propecia, both finasteride. The 5mg pills were prescribed to me wich was covered under my insurance and 30 pills will last me 4 months cause i have to pill cut them into 4ths. What a huge savings this was for me. I went to sams and the generic rogaine(minoxidil) was $20 for a 4 month supply. Maybe theres hope yet to regrow some of my hair. hell my hairline is too late but my crown just may fill in. its thinned out so bad these last 6 months.

This is a great thread, good to know that i am not alone. None of my friends are losing it yet, I am only 26. Has anyone gotten good results from the rogaine propecia combo?

I did rogaine extra strength without propecia years ago (for about a year) because I had some hair thinning from two cycles that included winstrol....and I got back most of the hair I lost. Been taking 1/4 tab of proscar daily ever since, and haven't had any noticeable hair loss.
