PATCHOGUE, N.Y. - A published report says a number of entertainers have been named in connection with an Albany, N.Y.-based steroid investigation.

The Times Union of Albany newspaper cites unidentified sources in a Sunday report that R&B music star Mary J. Blige, rap musicians 50 Cent, Timbaland and Wyclef Jean, and award-winning author and producer Tyler Perry may have received or used performance enhancing drugs.

Albany District Attorney P. David Soares launched an investigation into steroid trafficking last year. Law enforcement officials have said evidence does not indicate that the celebrities broke the law. Officials are focusing on the doctors, pharmacists and clinics that provide the drugs.

Ah I read the story that other states are involved. But one question is how can a DA from Albany do an investigation involving other states?

umm, that is where the investigation team is based. lol. the Albany investigation was also a big part of the florida clinic shit a few months ago. they have been a big part of many busts.

I remember thinking, while watching the MTV music awards, Timberland got huge since the last time I saw him. It's interesting though how even with all the media scare people are still using. This one is interesting since it shows more of people using it to help them stay healthy and not for sports.

there is a big media blitz with steroids every 5-10 years. it was huge in the media with Lyle Alzado and all that. just something for them to report on bro.

Me neither. They will see as a dangerous vanity tool like cosmetic surgery. But maybe some people will be forced to listen and be more open minded since they can't use the excuse of cheating to get ahead.

What im getting at is how you can have an investigation team from one state do something in another unless they are federal? I didn't think they could do that. Anyways that's not that relevant.
