Chemist testifies he sent steroids to cyclist
An Illinois chemist who created the drugs at the heart of the BALCO sports scandal said Tuesday that he mailed designer steroids to Tammy Thomas, the former bicycle racing champion accused of lying about her use of banned drugs.
In the second day of the cyclist's trial on perjury charges in U.S. District Court in San Francisco, chemist Patrick Arnold also testified that he had used his scientific expertise to concoct a false "cover story" so Thomas could offer an innocent explanation after she tested positive for a steroid manufactured in Arnold's lab. I hope they convict Bods quickly. Maybe with catching him they can say they won and move on.
