Bodybuilding and steroids in the UK.
British muscles are swelling. Syringe exchange units around the country say that steroid users now outnumber clients for all other injectables combined. But rates of steroid use aren't the only thing that's changing: so is the type of person who uses the drugs.
According to Martin Chandler, a specialist in steroid use at Liverpool John Moores University, the rise is caused by people "younger and less knowledgeable" than their previous counterparts. "What scares me is their limited research and understanding," he says. Full Story: New Statesman - Shape of the future |

i think media has alot to do with younger less knowledgeable people using juice, i really think the media and the exposure every day that younger kids are seeing is causing more and more curiosity about it, when i was in high school there was only one kid using and it wasnt until the senior year of our football team,

exactley !!!!!! gear use is on the rise because of the coverage -- the dea and feds can pat themselves on the back for job well done -- its been made into the 21st century boogey man - what that do -- wastes alot of tax payers money because its been built into something its not -- the media feeds it and the mass majority buy it -- sad really Last edited by bigscott : 04-19-08 at 06:12 AM. |

The thing is, taken in the round and in the context of other drugs; canabis, and harder, AAS don not really cause issues in society, not really.
How many AAS users need to comit crime to pay for their habit? only those that would have done crime anyway. Sooner or later they will se where we're coming from

just compare it to legal things like cigarettes and alcohol. they have more of a negative impact in 1 day then steroids ever have or ever will. |
