Natural Test Levels
Back in December, I knew my shoulder was F'd up. I quit taking the test that I was on and started PCT a week later. I used 10,000 IU of HCG and cycled Nolvadex to try to bring the natural test levels back up.
I have never had my test levels measured, so in the middle of January (about 6 weeks since I had stopped taking test and 2 weeks after I stopped PCT therapy), I went to the doc and asked for a complete blood work up done, including a test to measure my test levels. She called me up a couple of days later and said that my test levels were really low, like around 100 ng/dl?? I was surprised because I felt okay and the sex drive was there. So, for the last 4 months, I go and get a shot of Test every 2 weeks as well as use the Andro Gel packs. I had my test levels checked a couple of weeks ago and it had been about 3 weeks since a Test shot and my levels were up to a whole 125 ng/dL. I hope that's the right unit of measure. Anyhow, I had my levels tested about 1 week after I had taken the shot and my levels were up to around 250 mark. My shoulder has been repaired and I'm about to start training back in the gym. In a few months, I would like to run a decent cutting cycle and then build a little bit of lean muscle mass. If test levels are supressed for "X" amount of time, will they never jump start back? Is it anyone's recommendation to stay off until my natural levels come back up? Does anyone have suggestions other than Nolva, HCG, Clomid to bring my levels back up naturally. I would really love to jump on a cycle of some gear, but I feel like getting the boys back to working like they are supposed to is more important. I'm just looking for some opinions on what I should do. Basically, I've been under doctor supervision on trying to bring up Natural test levels and it's not been working very well after 4 months. Yeah, I can get a shot and I feel better, more energy and rise to the occasion even when I don't want to. Thanks. Knox |

Sounds like your test levels are permanently suppressed. Nothing you can do about it besides HRT.

If a person's test levels are supressed for good, then what? HRT? Is there a type of doctor that I should go to that would be more willing to let me do something other than use this androgel to "try" to bring my levels back up?
If a person has supressed test levels, is there any side effects (other than feeling like a million bucks) of running a good cycle for 12 weeks? I mean it's not going to shut down the boys anymore than they already are. If I go into a doctor that can help me with HRT, I guess I should do so post cycle. If I go back in to see my PCP and I'm 30# bigger, she's going to know what's up and probably stop the shots/androgel. Any advice? Knox |

I'm 29 years old. What do you think would be the best kind of doctor to go to for me? My PCP will only give me a shot once, maybe twice a month. I have excellent insurance, so I can do just about whatever. I've met my out of pocket deductible for the year, so all that i have to really pay for is scripts and office visits.
I do not look like I'm all jacked up because I'm about to finish up with my shoulder surgery. 4 more weeks and I can get back to hitting the weights again. I'd just like to get on a "doctor's program" before I take any more AAS. It will be at least 2 or 3 months before I run anything after this 4 weeks is up. Anyhow, I appreciate the directions and I'm going to get this figured out. Do the doc's generally give you the shots or will they let you shoot at home? Thanks. Knox |

it really depends on where you live bro. around here in jersey, the "steroid culture" is pretty big and you will not find a doc that will even give you 1 shot a month. they are all scared of getting a visit from the feds. things are better where 3v1lj03 lives down in pudunk indiana. lol.
if you live in NY, NJ, or CA you can just forget about even getting a shot. they stick with the patches. less trouble for them. |

Endocrinologist should be the qualified physician to treat your hormone levels.

Yea I agree first try an Endocrinologist or urologist My doc is a family/anti aging/ Doctor and kinda weird. I just called a couple of doctors and told them I had low test. The key word to search for is bio-identical hormones that means test cyp most of the time for men. 29 is not too young to see the anti-aging docs either my advice is just find one that will talk to you and listen to your concerns that once a month is just not enough. I would just lay it out as you see it if you don't get results try again.

The doctors are going to look for a reason as to why my test levels are low. My PCP had all kinds of test ran on me to make sure there wasn't any underlying problems, and there wasn't. Big Surprise.... Anyhow, do I just come clean and say that a couple of years ago, I was hitting the juice pretty hard and it slammed my natural test levels in the ground? Or do I tell them something like I was using "supplements" and over time it has supressed my test levels? I'm just wondering which way I should try to lead the doc. He may see right through it all anyways.

if you tell them that they will be treating you with the attitude that "you did this to yourself". you dont want that.

I got an appointment setup with an Endocrinologist here in town. Unfortunately I have to wait until 8-18-08 before I can see her for a new patient. I guess in the meantime, I'll go to my PCP and get her to give me a couple of shots of test a month before I see the endo doc.

I don't know, I guess. There are two major hospitals here in town and our insurance pretty much requires us to go to one. The company has brokered better prices through the one with the one dndo doc. Maybe that's why she's so busy. I need to check around a little more I guess.

why dont you just go on a cycle in the mean time and then come off like 3-4 weeks before the endo appointment.
