isn't Cyanocobalamin 1000mcg/ml the same weather it's human or vet... i mean either way, it's still Cyanocobalamin 1000mcg/ml (b12)

no it won't keep you from sleeping ....and no it's not the same. the standard for vet grade allows ..6% impuritys.......the manufactures don't spend any more than have to.

6% is very high to be shooting god knows what into your body....

I sleep fine. Only side effects I have had are increased energy, mental clarity and better sense of well being.

good question... i hadn't thought to ask this before, but i would assume 100% pure (0% impurity) for human grade?

the standard for human grade is 99.9975% purity.

the problem is the levels of metals and by products that are leached in the manufacturing process. the cost of equipment is where corners are cut.

couldn't you filter "vet grade" b12 to a better purity level?

No, metals and the like are in solution at that leval, there aren't any particulats to filter out. Mechanical (the type we use) filtration is usless. Metals really aren't the problem anyway (for adults) as most not really that harmful (that we know of). The 6% thing doesn't necessarily tell the picture ether as while they may allow a certain % of impurities there are still strick limets on WHAT they can be. Remeber that this stuff was ment to go into animals that were going to eat. They have to be free at least of base items that would be harmful, certain base metals, botulisms, and other nice stuff. That doesn't mean that the products are clean.

There are lots of vet products that I wouldn't mind using at all but on the other hand some I wouldn't touch. That is really the only problem using vet grade, your not total sure of what your getting. Still compared to some of the UG labs most vet companys look like UpJohn in comparison.

If you do use vet grade (and I am guilty here) get it from a company with a good rep and get a copy of the lab report (If they don't test batch to batch you don't want them anyway). With all the vet b out there you can aford to be picky.

Or for the extra 25 dollars (about what you would save) you get the peace of mind of not having to worry about. That will be well worth it to me as soon as some people start stocking a b complex (hint, hint, hint)
