Wierd Dog Problem
So, my wife brings this dog home today (2 yr. old male yorkie). He needed a home so we decide to take him. Problem is, since he's been here, I can't get him to stop humping my old dog (9yr. old male dane/ridgeback mix). It seems almost impulsive. My dog is like 10x's his size. I got nothing against him rubbing one out, but Jesus, I've got a female beagle that's his age who you would think would suit him better...
 I Dunno!!

Its trying to show dominence. The little dog feels insecure around the big dog and its his way of feeling more powerful.

yeah like bouncer said, it is a dominance thing. it is found in most mammals. Chimps were the first studied group on it because researchers thought that the chimps were actually homosexual but later defined it as a dominance trait. The species man probably used to do it to. Can you imagine just walking down the street and then jumping on some guy and fake humping him because you want to be dominant to him .

I have a 4 year old Male Pit Bull / Shepard mix and he is a humping machine. He was fixed as a pup, but still loves to hump. He has several doggie beds around the house and when the mood strikes he will pick one up with his teeth; toss it around the room; position it up and between his legs; and hump until he can`t breathe. It is really quite amazing to watch him work, except for the fact that he does it when we have people over and they are all like "OMG".

My friend had a male pitbull named Timmy (after the south park character)
The pit was always horny and would hump my friend's leg. One time he humped so hard, he shit. (Guess he nutted and a small poop came out) Gross, but way too funny at the time LOL
