It must be a sequel because Riddick's eyes are messed up in the new movie. According to Pitch Black his eyes got messed up b/c he was locked in a "dungeon" style jail for all those years and he gained the ability to see in the dark. I'll definitely see the movie as I thought Pitch Black was pretty good.

nevermind. the game's supposed to be bad as shit too. and alien's vs. predator could so derail. i just hope it don't.

No, in the movie pitch black riddick pays a eye surgen/doctor to get his eyes to see in the dark before he goes in the joint right??

Im pretty sure this is the prequel, Pitch Black they were transporting him with refugees, like after the place was all fucked up by these things hes supposed to fight in the chronicles

and yes, he paid to have his eyes "shined", while he was in jail
