Thanks but I live in a real small town n my kids are very well protected no sitters and so on but I hear you it's a crazy world. She btw is quite a good shot rifle and handgun... taking bow lessons next.

Maybe I watch too much tv but sometimes I wonder what goes on in them small towns. Sometimes they're more corrupt than the big cities. Seems like all the child abductions are happening in small towns where everyone is close knit.

Sorry to hear that. How old are ya now? I'm 33 and gonna 34 in 5 days. The thing about death is there is always that first year where that person isn't around. So it's been different not having her for Easter, Memorial Day, and the 4th of July. Her birthday etc etc etc. So this is my first b-day without her bu the holidays that are gonna be the toughtest I think are gonna be Thanksgiving and Christmas. Those are always more sentimental holidays.

I feel bad for brother. He gets married next month and she's not gonna be there. At least in a physical presence. Not going to know his children. I could go on and on. I'm sure there are a lot people on this board that have experienced to this some extent.

And we are suppose to celebrate her death? What a crock of shit statement!!

I'm glad the ducks were okay, i've gone out of my way all my life to help animals around me, last one was a duck w/ a fish hook in its mouth and pinned by the line to a rock. There's no easy way out of treating that, just pliers and a lot of sympathy. now i don't know if ducks are capable of tearing, but i swear to god i saw tears around its eyes as i removed it. I felt damn good the rest of the day after that.

Regardless of an animals intelligence, they still feel pain. now except for Sana and her nipple clamps, we can all remember pain as a child and remembered how terrifying it is, how nauseating being afraid was, and we can imagine how being intelligent enough to rationalize those emotions and feelings comforts us in its own way.
I don't think animals can think "the pain will go away," and rationalize it. Don't get me wrong, I love me a steak any time of day. But animal abuse pisses me off.
