Aside from heart hypertrophy, I'd imagine that the body's physical limitation would actually not be the amount of muscle mass you can acquire but instead the weight that your cartilage and ligaments can support. After all, muscle mass can grow and adapt but the joints are more or less a set physical limitation. You can only condition them so much for heavy loads. I'm sure that if scientists put their mind to it, they could create artificial ultra-high calorie meals to supplement regular food but I know of nothing that could cause actual growth these tissues too keep up with bodyweights several times the intended capacity of one's skeletal frame outside of artificial joints.

It's possible that he had a flu-like virus or chest cold at that point in time. Unless someone spends a lot of time with him, it would be too hard to base an opinion like that on one meeting. It sounds to me like he had a slight case of pneumonia when he met him. I've had it before and it sucks. You feel and sound like absolute shit for a while until the antibiotics kick in.

When I met Ronnie, he only weighed 310.. I'd like to see him in person at this weight, motivation enough to eat all I can, and lift "heavy-assed weight!"..
I do like Dexter Jackson's look better, but Ronnie is a beast..

I'd have to see more pics and what he looks like in contest shape at this weight. When Dorian was in his prime lots of people said it was the wrong turn for Bodybuilding and he looked too freaky, I fuckin loved it and thought he looked perfect. I'm all for the freaks, but in that pic I think Ronnie looks like shit. All quantity, no quality.
I predict Lee Priest is the next Mr.O! LMAO |

I have to agree with Goliath. Someone get bigger than everyone else and he's suddenly the best physique on stage...that's not what BBing is about. I have seen Ronnie relaxed one time and his lats looks like fat rolls.

Ronnie's leggs and delts are just sick with MASS - I can't understand how the man puts his clothes on.... that's an effort on its own I'll bet.
