LOL That shit hurts I can assure you...it uses the actual chemical Oleoresin Capsicum, which is what makes jalapenos and the like hot.

It is deployed on officers at the academy so they understand two concepts..1-If that shit gets sprayed on you its a baaad day and 2- Its ability to incapacitate can justify the use of deadly force

That said I never have seen anyone run into a wall full speed after being sprayed

Funny, lOL. I know that shit hurts though. Don't believe me? Dip your fingers in jalapeno peppers and then rub your eyes. Pepper spray is about 68 times more painful!

In terms of "hot", jalapenos rate about 30,000 stokes units (measure of hotness). Pepper spray can rate as high as 2 million! It is actually banned in some states as it is considered a lethal weapon. Some people have actually gone into shock and died from it.

Someone needs to seek another line of work, ASAP. The point of verbal commands is to demonstrate authority and command of a situation. Not to scream like a slapped bitch. I've been sprayed more times than I can count, and CS gassed. OC spray hurts but not as bad as he makes it look. The worst was the first time I got it, when I was done I went home and started to unload my gear. Broke a sweat and the shit came out of my eyebrows and moustache all over again. Then when I got in the shower, what was left in my hair ran down my stomach and straight to the balls. Good times, good times.

We used to walk by the fan in the deputy room and shoot the shit into it then haul balls. Or catch a guy on the shitter and spray it under the door. Then they made us start signing it out with our name and the fun stopped....

The shower part was funny...

I've had some tear gas sprayed on me before by my uncle so I would know what it feels like... Not sure what type it is, but he's one of those odd, paranoid militia type guys that has about everything under the sun that he'll never need.

When I worked at the hospital ER, we had a psych pt come in. The hospital security tried to spray him while he was down. Unforutantely, I was the one holding him down, so the fucker sprayed me too.
