You'd think the sky would run out of water or something. I woke up because of the thunder and lightning and it's absolutely pouring here again. It rained yesterday too. Will it ever end??????????

Bouncer had asked me to post some pics of Frances and then we lost internet for a few days. Here are a few pics, thankfully nothing bad!

This was during the first part of the storm. The palm tree lost about half of it's branches by the time the storm was over.

For the first part of the storm the wind was blowing from north to south, then after the eye hit it blew south to north. This was good because of the ways the trees are on our block, the few that fell down didn't land on houses. We have some tall pines in our back yard that we were worried about until I figured out the pattern of the wind.

This poor little tree...it got blown over during the first part of the storm, then the other tree got blown over in the opposite direction once the eye passed.

This is my back yard...thankfully the big trees didn't land there. We lost one big one but it landed in the woods.

What has been interesting to see are all of the birds! I guess they lost their nests because we're seeing all kinds of birds on the ground that we usually only see once in a while. Here are some bird pics...

This is my favorite. This is right behind the woods behind my house. There's a small lake that overflowed a bit and this bird is enjoying himself but just a few feet away, a gator is eyeing the bird for lunch.

My daughter's friend's house lost power and they had 2 upright freezers full of meat, lobster tails, some fish the father caught...now my freezer is full with their stuff. It's so tempting!!!

After being stuck in the house for a few days, Stromba and his friend met up at the tiki bar. Stromba called me to come out and said that they couldn't get his friend's wife out. I called her on her cell and told her it was a phone kidnapping and she'd better come out or else she'd have to pay the price. She came out.

Here's a pic of what you need for a good after-storm phone kidnapping...phones, car keys, beer, menu, and a tiki bar on the water.

I'm tired of the rain too. You know, I have not been to the beach one time this summer. My schedule is so hectic and when I do have the time...it's raining!

i am tired of the rain too. It has been raining here since tuesday it might stop for about an hour or two but then back up and raining.... But i would rather have the rain then IVAN

Me too. Besides the stuff in boxes, there were about 30 more packages of meat they already took out of the boxes. My freezer usually has a few bags of chicken tenders from Costco. LOL

It's funny all the nice neighborhoods in Tampa look the same, same house, same landscaping...the houses are nearly identical except bigger or smaller, but same basic floor plan...lol. My buddy just moved from a 2500sq ft home to a 6500 sq ft home and I still feel like I am walking into the same house that just got bigger.
