it was like stepping into the past at my grandmothers funeral-

i saw people i had not seen since i was a small child, i saw pictures of my grandparents when they were young-

pics of my dad , aunts and uncles that i never seen before -- it was amazing

places i use to go when i was a kid , memories flowed back when we drove down certain roads and saw certain things --it was like i was standing outside myself for just a moment

its also eye opening when you realize how fast time has gone by -

i wish i could have stayed for a while to give my dad a shoulder to cry on -- he is taking her passing pretty hard -- both parents are gone now
thats a hard reality we will all face some day [god willing]--

we dont realize how important it is to keep close to family till we no longer can touch them, till they are just memories

i make it a point to tell my wife and kids that i love them everyday cause you never know if your going to see them again -- i am not afraid to tell my dad i love him ,not afraid to tell my mom i love her

cherish family through good and bad because in the end family is all we have--

tell the ones that you love! that you love them!! while they are here every chance you get because someday they will be gone

never lose sight of family

that was beautiful man. I know my mom lost both her parents. I wasn't too close to them but I can't imagine not having either of my parents alive. My dad still has both of his so it doesn't seem fair but alas that is life. My thoughts are still with you buddy. Stay strong and take care.

I think I will call my folks right now.

i seen my mother go ebfore my grandparents which was hard but ive seen amny ppl clsoe to me go over my lfietime and u never get used to it everytime is as ahrd as the first.....like you said always let the oen su lvoe know u care

House...your kindness and love show how well you were raised. Your grandma is smiling down at you. Although she's gone, you will always have her love and sharing that with your family is the best way to remember her.

Damn....House1, just reading that put a lump in my throat Bro! I have lost both sets of grandparents and I have also lost my dad and stepmother! I still miss him so much and I wish I had been nicer to her! He would have done back flips when Chase, my son, was born! I was never afraid to hug my dad and kiss him on the cheek regardless of where we were! I hope my son will be the same way!Well...time to start making some calls...let the family know that I love them! Thanks House1!

Some great words brother, my best friend actually lost his father last night to a massive heart attack. I can't even explain, I got home and told my father I love him and told him I'm gonna get him to start taking care of himself. My buddies dad was 4 years younger than mine. Family is the most important thing you can possibly have and I will make sure to cherish every moment I have with all of my friends and family. Like you said house never loose sight of family.....amen
