Saturday NBA Plays
2-2 last nite
6-10 YTD Charlotte Bobcats +6 over Orlando I think that 6 points is a little too much to give up for a team like Orlando. The Magic are 2-0 but they’ve won both of thier games by just one point against teams like the Hornets in New Orleans and Milwaukee at home. Including their pre-season games the Magic are 2-2 on the road with both of their road victories coming by just 1 point. Charlotte lost their home opener to Washington by 7 points last Thursday. Washington had just come off a huge upset victory against Memphis the night before as they defeated the Grizzlies 103-96 in a game where they were 14 point underdogs. In the Pre-season the Bobcats were an impressive 3-1, losing their only game by 1 point in double overtime against Washington. New York Knicks –6 over Boston Boston has lost their first 2 home games, starting the season at 0-2. If you want to include the pre-season, the Celtics are 2-8 in their 10 games played this year. On the road in the pre-season the Celtics were 0-4. New York played well at home in the pre-season going 4-0, winning all 4 of their game by an average of 11 points per game. Phoenix Suns –8 over New Jersey Phoenix is scorching hot right now. Including the pre-season, the Suns have a record of 9-1. In the 9 games they have won, the suns have won by an average margin of 19.56 points per game...that’s incredible. I really don’t see the Nets standing much of a chance in this game. New Jersey got blown out at home by one good opponent already last Wednesday, and they’ll probably get blown out again tonight against a much better Sun team. The Nets won last night in Chicago in double overtime. In that game, they had a 27 point lead in the 2nd quarter, and 20 point lead at half time, but blew it. Luckily for them, the found a way to win. Indiana Pacers –9 over Chicago Chicago’s a tough opponent to play at home, but on the road they suck. Last season the Bulls were 9-32 away from home. This year in the pre-season the Bulls were 0-4 away from home losing those 4 games by an average of 21.5 points per game. Indiana has started the season 2-0, winning in Cleveland and Boston. If you include pre-season games the Pacers have a record of 8-2 this year, with their only 2 losses coming against the Denver team which had a 7-1 record in the pre-season. Indiana has dominated Chicago at home winning their last 15 home meetings against the Bulls. The Pacers have won 6 of their last 7 home openers, while the Bulls have lost 6 of their lat 7 road openers.
