ww1-2 help needed

i found this medalion at a garadge sale and i want to find its rightfull home
the ppl i got it from said they found it in an old barn about 10-15 yrs ago
they said that they believed he was english
it is solid bronz and about 6 inches round

this is Philip Butterfield`s medailion

He also died for freedom and honor.

Don't know if you have these organizations in Canada but if you do you might want to stop by the local VFW, Elks Lodge etc...and ask some of the guys there. They would probably know what it was and then you'd just be left with tracking down the Butterfield family. Good luck.

i`m trying to find out anything i can about it and if possible send it to a member of his family
reason i put it here is to get help with finding out as much as i can
and i figured with the amount of ppl on this site, someone might be able to find something

i dont know if it is canadian or american
