ebay question

Im sorta new to the thing only boughten 2 things from there. I ask because i was bidding on a used Pioneer Stereo there. I got 2 stereos here at home but one does not have the detachable face cause they stole it. I was bidding on a stereo just to have the face and give the stereo i got here at home to my girls so she can put in her car.

I bid on 3 different ones cause it said i got out bid. So i bid again and it said i was outbid. Im wondering how that works. I keep on bidding high and seems the guy bid more than me. Hey guys, is there any chance of winning the thing. I really dont know how to use it much.

WHen it says uve been outbid, that mean someone bid more than me right. I f i try to go more than them it says im still outbid. I dont get it.

Yes, the reason why it says "you have been outbid" when you place a bid is, becuase the persons original bid is still higher then your current bid. Just keep bidding, eventually you will outbid him

like the bid for the stereo started at .99 cents. I bid 15 bucks on it. I had a few bid on it and never matched my bid. Until tonight when i got on there was a bid higher than mine. I tried and tried and nothing bro, until i bid 26.00 on it and im higher. Im not going to pay more than 30 for it since its used. I hope i do good.

I never realized how many people want the same thing i do.

People can also put in an amount that will keep going up even if they're not sitting in front of the computer.

Say the item is at $20 but they're willing to pay up to $40 for it. Each time another person puts in a bid and it's less than $40 that other person's bid will automatically go up to outbid the other guy...until it reaches the $40. If you bid $41 it will get you in there as top bidder.

Be careful and just don't bid more than you really want to pay, winning the item can become the name of the game for some people.

Also pay attention to shipping fees. Some people charge say $2.99 but others will charge $6.99.

Its called maxium bid. You put in what the most your willing to pay for it. Say the most you will pay for it is $30.00. Put 30.00 dollars in as your maxium bid. That dosent mean that your item will go up to 30.00$. If someone comes along and bids on it and puts in $20.00 it will tell them they have been out bid. They have to go past the $30.00 mark to out bid you.

Hell, my experience with E-bay is if you really want something on there, you have to bid at the last second and beat everyone else at their game.

Yeah, it seems now days the only people who don't using "sniping" as it is called, are people using ebay for the first time or impulse buyers (women) :-) j/k
