Media distortion of Iraq

I was perusing the news pages and came on this article written by LTC Tim Ryan.

http://www.worldtribune.com/worldtri...680555557.html

I have always thought the news media distorts the situation in Iraq because, well, only the sensational stuff with blood and guts gets people's attention, right? Why would a news organization print or televise anything but what they think will sell? Well, to get the complete picture for one! It is frustrating to see us getting a political beating every day for doing good things because the good things never make it out.

The article is long but worth reading. It states these views much more eloquently than I could and it is written by someone infinitly more qualified to talk about the war in Iraq than I; a soldier over there fighting it who sees the good and the bad.
