We usually have a big baked ham, new potatos, green been caserole and whatever the other family members bring. Oh....and desserts!

Hubby wants lassagne and I want lamb. I need more ideas, not everyone eats lamb and I'm not even sure what a good side would be for lamb.

For us, it's the same ridiculously huge feast we have at most holidays. Basically, it will be the same dinner as last year, except this time I hear my mom is going to add (!!!) turkey to the menu because my grandmother missed it last Easter.

I'm really wanting to avoid the same stuff I make for Christmas and Thanksgiving (turkey, ham and those fixings). I'll have to include stuffed mushrooms but those are appetizers and I don't mind repeating that stuff.

How about a big Easter BBQ? Like hamburgers, hotdogs, steaks, chicken, sausage and stuff like that on the grill. Its definitly different.

LOL at some of the comments here.

Bouncer, I'd be disowned in this family if I tried to BBQ on any other family holiday other than the 4th of July or a sporting event!

Tonight I started the gravey that I'll use in the lassagna...got 2 kinds of Italian saussage and some ground beef with merlot wine, onions and garlic, cooked it for about 5 hrs. tonight. I'm also marinading a leg of lamb in merlot, garlic, and sundried tomatoes (will add salt and pepper the day of cooking). I got some yukon gold potatoes that I'll cube, season and bake, some fresh carrots, and a few other things. I'll make chicken with a lemon, butter and wine sauce and a fresh loaf of bread braided with an easter egg hidden inside. Instead of a regular salad I'm thinking fresh spinach for a change.

My daughter already made homemade chocolates and we'll make an easter bunny cake. My mom's making some nut filled cookies and that's the extent of my desserts. Stromba's cousin is a pastry cheff so I really don't try to do much since she brings the real goods.
