He asked me if I knew of any catholic churches in town. I said I have no idea, I don't go to church. He said that most hotels have a listing for there customers. I don't know of any here. I don't know if that's true or not either since I have never asked. He just kept this mad look and stared at me for a second, I was just looking at him and he finally just sighed and walked away. lol

I live in the bible belt, so unfortunately there isn't any. The closes adult store is 45 min away.

No I work the front desk. People wouldn't know what to so with a concierge in this town, that's if they know what one is.

I'm sure there is a list in the local phone book. Your hotel can't be so shitty it doesn't have a fucking telephone directory. "No sir I don't have a listing but I can get the information for you if you don't mind waiting. Or you could check the phonebook in the nightstand drawer provided for you in your room." Not too fucking difficult is it. Some folks are simply not cut out for the service industry. Just what every weary traveler needs, a smartass clerk busting balls at the front desk.

You're such a tool it's unbelievable. He didn't give me a chance to help him before acting like an ass. It's my job to be at there service, not be there servent, or take there verbal abuse.

Dude, I know you don't like me and from all your posts in any thread I contribute to I can understand why. You seem to be my polar opposite. That's cool, no big deal. But to get back on point, you never made mention of any verbal abuse in your post. And if you think giving a blank stare is good customer service then you've made my point for me. Put yourself in his shoes and see how you'd feel. You check in to a hotel in a strange city and ask for a list of local gyms, some pencil neck geek behind the counter says "I don't workout, so I have no clue" then gives you a shitty look and the silent treatment. All cool huh?

I travel a ton and have never even asked a concierge where a gym is. It is important to me so I check before I travel where several options are because I don't expect anybody at the hotel to have the same priorities that I do. They can't know everything. I expect a concierge to be able to get me a taxi and tell me where to eat.

If you're staying at an upscale hotel, the concierge is expected to provide a lot of information...most have info on restaurants, gyms, churches, tourist attractions...just about everything their city has to offer. And if they don't have the info available, they'll do their best to find it for you by internet or phoning around. But I certainly wouldn't expect front desk staff to provide these services...their job is to check me in and out and provide information about the hotel, that's it.

When I'm on vacation, I tend to do a quicker and lighter workout than I usually do at home, so I'd accept Bally's. Any gym with a decent selection of equipment will do...I don't care if I'm surrounded by jazzercising spin-class-loving nancy-boys.
