who would last longer on a deserted island

assuming there was no food and neither person was cannibalistic

a fat person or a in shape person

it's hot as hell, and i cannot fall of asleep so i sit up and think about the most random things....i was just thinking that a fat person in many cases doesn't even eat as often as a healthy person in shape so they are storing what food they do eat as fat for later use

a fit and in shape person doesn't have a load of fat hanging off their body so if the two were left to die on a deserted island would the fat person last longer?

This really has nothing to due with nutrition, so I moved it to general chat. A fit person would burn through there muscle much faster than a fat person would burn throught there fat. So the fat would last longer.

Yeah, the fit person's metabolism is faster to begin with too.

Fat person would last longer, that is because fat stores energy. The fitperson has less fat and a faster metabolism, which would make hiim die sooner.

That all is assuming that neither of them has to do pullups for survival

Logically, with the lack of food, the fat person will commit suicide....

this makes me wonder why people going on survivor don't intentionally try to gain alot of fat before getting on the show in order to prepare for the starvation they go through

Cause then you'll suck at the physical challenges. Plus if you're not hawt, the members of the opposite sex will vote you off. Plus survivor is like the tv hookup show. The host and that one girl hooked up, rob and amber, jenna and ethan. Don't want to go there looking like crap if you're trying to hook up.

That's it, I'm going on a permanent bulker, just in case I ever get stranded on a deserted island!

I've still never been to the Keys. I think I need to plan a trip with my girlfriends but I'll wait 'till hurricane season is over.

we saw alot of fish at the Wyndom Resort but they had a pear that goes out with special lights at night that attracts the fish. the water down there is different. its a little darker. there isnt many beaches. its more of a layed back relaxing fishing kinda place.

I bought a bottle of tequilla because it came with that cd! I put it on repeat and go in the hot tub. LOL The tiki bar we go to also has a live band that usually plays that song. I doubt I'll ever tire hearing it.
