I think it's just a rounded number. I didn't hear the answer, but this is what 365 divided by 7 is 52.14285.....

^^^You got it. It actually comes out to 364 and 3/4 or something like that and it is just rounded up for simplicity.

There are 52 full weeks in a year, but if you count partial weeks there are 52 and 1/7th weeks in a year and 52 and 2/7ths in a leap year.

There are actually 365.25 days in a solar year. That is why an extra day is added to the calendar every 4 years (leap year). This correction keeps the seasons correlated to the calendar. Otherwise, in about 600 years, July would come in the winter and December would be in the summer.

LOL, we Jews are even worse. The Jewish calendar is based on a lunar cycle instead of a solar cycle. There are only 354 days in a lunar year so an extra month is thrown in (a leap MONTH) something like 7 times in 13 years to keep the seasons (and their attending holidays) correlated to the calendar. Otherwise, the winter holidays like Chanukah would eventually fall in the summer. They weren't even very original about naming the extra month either. In a leap year, the Jewish month of Adar is followed by Adar II.
