I started last thursday. Don't worry about being behind the full time students. You are still alot farther ahead of those still talking about going back to school. You will be done before you know it and they will still be talking about going back.

i got a 2.9 right now. It affected me when some Stephen King lookalike teacher last semester, didnt like me and my sister because we would be tardy at time, so he failed us. We studied our asses off for hours and he failed us.

I'm not in school but my daughter started 8th grade almost 2 weeks ago. She was expecting a fun year and came home in tears when she got her schedule, they put her in all advanced classes and she was upset because she's gonna have to work harder and her friends aren't in her classes. She wanted me to get a schedule change but hubby and I said no, she can do it and it's good preparation for high school. She's getting used to it and likes most of the teachers so hopefully this will still be an enjoyable year for her. Weird thing at her school though...lunch is only 20 minutes and it's taken at the beginning of one of her classes so that class is cut short. Last year it was during Literature but this year it's during her favorite subject, Orchestra, which is the only class her friends from last year are in. I don't know how the school gets away with it.

My daughter goes to kindergarten Thursday, August 25th for her first day. What sucks is I don't get to see her get on the bus. The way her year is set up, she gets 1/2 morning Kindergarten at the daycare then eats lunch, then gets bussed from there to her afternoon kindergarten at the local school. I may have to be in the parking lot at daycare to see her go. I'm really bummed I don't get to see the real thing...

i did have sociology, but that shits just to deep for me to go along with spanish and pre calc, so i had to cut that for the film....i try to level it out by taking two tough and two easier enjoyable classes

thats awesome bro. I regret going part time to school, prefered going out wasting time than studing. Could've graduated last year with a BA.

being a teacher is so much better than being a student, just as much work, but much less pressure.....then again i'm way too young to be gettin all "teachery".......being a big dude has it's advantages too, none of my students dare try me. all in all, the only thing i miss about college is the social life.

i really don't feel pressured at all...

i mean the first week or two is kinda tough cause i feel the need to read every word in every class, in the book....and in all the classes so far we come to class and take notes on what we were to have read before that class....eventually i just skim a little bit and use the notes, so that really saves me a ton of time, cause college reading is just such a pain in the ass...your only tested on like 5 pages worth of a 30 page chapter

my introduction to film class is not much reading a but supposedly a TON of writing, but i prefer that...cause i can type or write something out quick, if i get into a roll of thinking i can just unload idea's with ease

with reading, some of that material i'm just thinking in my head "is it done yet, how much longer"...and then i lose concentration....gotta go back, sucks

only thing i really hate about school is presentations...god i'd rather jump off a bridge then take a public speaking class, life if we're doing a discussion around the room i have no problem, and even an informal presentation where you just wing a topic i dont have much problem......but a formal presentation where u gotta prepare and research a topic and then present it, i'm just awful, i lose my breath i lose my train of thought, i just get up there and blank...its horrible
