i think u handled it wrong...if something like that happens to me i just kinda blow it off and don't pay it any attention
you didn't have to get out of your car....u could've just drove off, turned on the radio and forgot about it...the guy would've just kept talking on his phone...and you probably wouldn't even be thinking about it enough to make a thread just imagine if the guy went and started a fight or you started a fight, and you were sitting in jail right now over a stupid fucking "look", you'd probably have to be sitting in anger management classes every wednesday for the next couple of months...its just not worth getting worked up over...u gotta just turn your shoulder and say fuck it

Bouncer,
If you confronted every "tough guy" you ran into, you would be looking at 7-10. If you would have cracked the fucker in the face, then you would be an asshole, but you didn't and there should be nothing to worry about. You asserted yourself in this case and it worked out. By the way, it's a frickin' dog babysitter, not really a huge deal. If they have an issue, I am sure there are other vets and dog-sitters.. LOL.

Years ago in the town I grew up in there was a guy who cut somebody off in traffic and got beat to death with a tire iron at the next red light. In the same town, a guy was beaten to death by half a dozen college students at a pool hall because he made some smartass comment to one of them. The scary thing was that I was at that pool hall and left about an hour before that happened and the college students were from the same college I was attending. Even though you didn’t physically beat the guy down, verbally beating the guy could have caused the situation to escalate just as quickly. It’s not worth it dude. I lived in a town of just 30,000 people and that kind of thing still happened every once in a while. Your well-being is worth more than your ego. You may be able to handle yourself against most people one-on-one in a fight, but against 6 or 7 people? And I don’t know anybody who is knife or bullet proof. You just never know what kind of fucked up people you’re going to run into…better to just smile and wave. That’s just my two cents.

I think you handled it just well. If I was in a similar position, I'd tell the dude "just get back into your damn car and talk to whoever it was you were talking to. But be considerate to other drivers." I think you know what I mean. Hell, if you weren't there when he was there but arrived like 10 minutes later, and he was sitting there with one foot on the ground and one in the car, talking on his cell phone, you'd probably honk your horn to let him know you need to get into the parking space.

I saw somewhere in this thread that you live out in hillbilly land. That's the problem, I used to get into the same shit in NJ all the time. All these fucking farmers kids running around acting like they are tough shit.
Now that I live in FL, people are still amazing assholes </end story>  Anyway, I think that people, in general, have absoutley no respect for people who are bigger then them, they don't even think about what would actually happen if you got in a fight with them. I have this situation all the time; I live near this community "revitilization" area in West Palm Beach called Cityplace. Its really nice down there, they have a ton of high end shops, bars, clubs, the whole deal. Unfortunately, they also put in a movie theater, which leads to my point. When walking the streets down there, I will be walking with my girll, and these 14-16 year old guys will purposely bump into me, or will walk in a pack and make us walk around them. Real punk kind of shit. They do the stare down's too, looking at me and trying to see if I am going to look back at them. The thing that people really need to get back through their thick heads (we have made this world so "safe" that people don't think about it anymore) is the absoulte assbeating that a 230lb bodybuilder can unload on someone in a very short order. These kids (and most punks, imo) are scrawny little fucks (or fat) and bump into me like they want to fight. The only reason they do that is they are pretty sure that I don't want to fight, and will just let it go. They just need to get unloaded on once or twice before they realize that "big" guys are not to be messed with, go try and impress your friends some other way. I was down there one day with my friend Kiki. Kiki has a funny name, but he was also the world kickboxing champ about 10 years ago, weighs about 275, and it juiced to the gills. Same fucking thing, kids bumping into us and trying to push us around and intimiadate us. That time I could not help but laugh. I am big, but I don't like to fight, nor do I think that I am "good" at it. But now your trying to start shit with a world champion fighter who weighs more then 3 of you put together. Good thing that Kiki has a very good sense of self-control. Anyway, Bouncer, back to you, you should have beat his ass and then taken off. That's the only way these people are going to learn not to fuck around with people that are bigger then them. What happened to the fear of getting beat up in this country? Hey, I still have it, why don't these assholes on 95 and punk ass kids have it? I think you, Bouncer, need to go on a personal campagin of reinstating the fear of ass beating in the general population. Start at the vet! Puma
