iBook G4

I’m trying to connect to a wireless router (Linksys) using a Mac iBook G4. I can see the SSID but when I try to connect to it I get a password error. I’m using the correct password (WEP key) but the problem is that the router is using Key2 and the iBook is defaulting to Key1. Does anyone know how to change the iBook to use Key2? I am very technical but I have limited experience with the Mac technology. I called their technical support but the guy said it was an issue on the router side and not the iBook. I’m able to connect to the router with my Dell laptop. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Some more info... I connected to the router and removed the wep security and I am now able to connect. I do not want to leave it like this since this user will be connecting to our corporate network and accessing confidential information. Are there compatibility issues with Mac's and wep security on some routers?????

I had this problem at school.

I have found that when useing the WEP you shouldnt save it to the key ring. I just type in the password everytime i want to connect and it works fine. Now in order to fix the problem after i got it I had to create a new user account Im sure there is some way to remove the password from the key ring, but me and about 3 other people never could figure it out.

I would want the password saved since it is using 128 bit encryption. I'm sure he would not want to type that in every time. You think a newer router would be compatible using wep?

Just got my first mac and I love it.
Anyway, is the password just the default one? If so change it to your own and then try. If that doesn't help go to www.appleinsider.com, great friendly board. I have learned a lot there.
