getting rid of my bike
april 20th will be exactly 1 year since i was almost killed in a bike accident that was no fault of mine !!
just heading home from work and some lady in a rush to beat traffic pulled out in front of me ever since that phone call my wife got that day she has been worried to death everytime i get on it and go - it took the fun of riding out of it for me aswell its a beautiful harley - bigbore kit , big radius pipes, chrome everywhere - everything i always wanted - tghe area i live in has grown by leaps and bounds and the motorcycle death rate along with it - people just dont look for you !!!!! so i ill fire her up tomorrow morning - put on my heavy clothes and take her for one last ride as i drop her off - she will be missed - picking up my new toy though - bought a dodge 2500 - charcoal color with the ho cummins in it - have the 1500 with the hemi - got rid of the bike and 1500 dodge for the 2500 - i watched my wife breath a sigh of relief when i signed the papers -- still will miss my harley - rode since i was a kid - took 5 seconds and almost my life to change that

That's a bummer, but I can understand. You're right, people don't look for motorcycles...plain and simple. At least you got a sweet truck out of it and you have the opportunity to make that choice...could have been a different story.

yep bro i grew up on bikes first rice burners then harleys i even got into building my own custom bikes. but people are just stupid and cant drive. 3 times i can remember clear as day where people pulled out in front of me! it got to be where my bikes just sat there in the garage and collected dust. i sold them with no regrets and every once in a while i get the itch to build another but them i remember back and say fuck it!

ah fuck it id be content dieing on ym bike at least hopefully going fast i been riding sinc ei stole my frist rm 80 as a kid riding down the highway form the pigs lol i wont stop riding......

Sometimes I'll drop back a bit in traffic when I'm on the bike and just watch the people driving and what they're doing (or not doing) while driving. It's scary really. I see people trying to read novels (not maps or newspapers....fkng 3in thick novels). People change lanes w/o ever looking in any of their mirrors or turning their heads more often than not it seems. And now w/cell phones thrown into the mix....holy hell!
