I broke a mirror in the gym today...
So, like, anyone know the proper action to take? I was sitting the dumbbells on top of another to move some that had be improperly put back and I knocked one off and behind the rack and smack against the mirror. The mirror is still intact, but cracked. I told the people at the front desk and they said theres nothing I can really do...I felt like an ass. Just had to vent...thanks for listening...

I think itd be appropriate to offer to pay for the damages and as a shrewd gesture on their part, I doubt they would accept and make you actually pay for it, but itd show your respect for the gym and its amenities.

I actually did. I said, "Is there anything I can do to help?" It was thoroughly embarrassing though. I'll talk to the manager tomorrow.

I worked at a gym that was covered in mirrors once. There was this one that always got broken. That kind of stuff just happens due to some of the layout of the gym. The owners can't really predict which mirrors will be most in the way of danger. The gym I was at just redesigned that little area so that the mirror didn't go down towards the ground as far as the rest of the gym.

I'm sure it's expected/happens - it's a gym. You didn't do it on purpose...
