added text messaging to my plan. It's only 200 messages a month, but I will be texting. I thought I would never have a need for this. But with my job change and my wife being in class all day, we actually have a use for it. Plus all of her team and coach's communicate with texts. I hate texting, but I guess I will get use to it some.

I use to say that, but right now it has it's use. If I stay late at work or need some quick info while trying take care of things during the day I can just send her a text. Which in turn she can immediately see and respond, instead of having to wait until she can listen to the message and call me back. Same goes the other way around if I'm in the pharmacy and can't make a call for a little while.

I know so many people who are 'text addicts'. They have to get the super-mega cell package just for the unlimited texting. Huge waste of money IMO; I NEVER want to carry a cell. I find people bug me too often on my home phone as it is...being away from home is my time to get a break. Being texted all the time would annoy me just as much as getting constant phonecalls.

Prose is basically written communication, as in writing what you want to say as in texts. He meant if he has time to think about things, what he wants to say comes out better.

I use texting all the time. My gf and I use it to talk during the day since we cant really talk to each other on the phone at work. I love using it instead of a phone call cause it's faster and no need to talk to the other person.

If she's right there to see the text message, why doesn't she just answer the phone when you call? I don't get it. If you're in the pharmacy and can't use the phone, wouldn't you still have to wait to respond to a text message?

Since we don't have access to email throughout the day it's a way for us to leave messages for each other when we can't get to a phone. For instance if she is in class and can't call her voice mail or if I'm in the middle of filling some orders, we can just look at the text while we continue doing what we need to.

my hubby is a txt mssgr! OMG!

I agree it takes me like 5 mins to write a msg...

hubby had one of those little typewriter phones so it was easy for him to do... I'm texting on a reg one, so again it takes forever and would be MUCH easier to call.
