While I have found memories of many things in my past I don't believe in looking back in "missing" something so to speak. Let me explain. I think a lot of people tend to live in the past. They let what happened in the past prevent them from doing something now an in the future. I don't like to look back and dwell on things like my grand pop that past away in 04 because all it ever does is get me upset. Always move forward, never backward.

I agree that you shouldn't "live" in the past and it can be very depressing. I am "learning" to do that more/and better as we speak - however, it is okay and completely normal to reminisce about people/place/or things.

I miss living in Texas. I don't want to move back there because it wouldn't be the same as it was before, but I still loved the time I was there. I miss living close enough to my family to visit them often. After another year, I have plans to make that change.

yes, i agree totally. i didn't mean to imply that it is not normal to reminisce about good times. i do it all the time. i was just saying that so many people take it to the next level and let the past prevent them from doing something they want to do in the future.

There's not really that much I miss. Like Bouncer I like to look forward and not let the past prevent me from things, hence why i'm moving.

I miss my family a lot. I miss stupid things like being able to believe that people are generally good.

i dont think i ever really thought people were generally good. i always knew it was a mix. you have good people and you have bad people. you just have to decide which is which.

Yes but it would be nice to think that most people mean well - and that it should be easy to tell the difference. That's simply not true.

ya it might be nice but that has never been the case and i never believed that. maybe growing up in a certain area makes you realize this earlier in life, i dunno.

with all that said. there are many good people out there and if you go around thinking everyone is bad you will never find those good people.

I miss hockey and football...because there's not much out there in the way of competitive team sports for adults. Touch football and gentlemen's league hockey just don't cut it...I'm talking about blood-and-guts all out effort working together towards victory.

Oh, and I miss winters with lots of snow. We still get a decent amount here, but not like before...global warming sux.

yea, i never had any real strife in my childhood and i think there was this bubble that i grew up in. none the less, i used to have the belief that people meant well and never intentionally wanted to harm other people. that it was more situation than anything, but i've learned thats not true.

yes i know not everyone is bad, and i still go around giving people the benefit of doubt and believing they care more about the community than themselves. i guess my frustration is that there are just so many more takers than there are givers.

we are all takers though bro. it is in our DNA to survive. we must do what we need to, to stay ahead.
