What? Do you have a Lambo or something...The cost alone would be worth more than your POS http://www.shipmyvehicle.com/Interna...eShipping.aspx

We have talked about sending our car to Poland to give to my wife's parents in a couple years when we plan to get a new one. But I'm not sure it would be affordable for them to even have since it needs unleaded fuel.

Too expensive. I've lived in Europe a couple of times and the military would pay for one vehicle. My parents would just buy a second vehicle when we got there and sell it before we left.

That's basically what I was wondering. It would be too hard to justify more than a 1k or so, for a car that would only be worth 4-5k at best. I was wondering if it would be more affordable to just sell/trade in the old one and just buy them a car over there.

Yep, excellent experience. The schools over there are amazing. I graduated in a class of 60 - so everyone was close, and most played sports, etc because it's all we had to do. |

I did like it over there, but as a teen I was ready to get back to the US. It's very different there, but the differences are becoming less and less with so many American things going abroad. There are still no 7-11's, big grocery stores, fast food variety, etc. There's little towns with bakerys, markets, etc - I like that. The clothes and shoes are different, so I ordered everything (and that was before internet days). My friends/schoolmates came from all over. We were all military, but everyone was so spread out. Like some kids had a 2hr bus ride (just one way). We didn't get to do much on weekends because our parents had to do all the driving, and we all lived spread apart. It's real cool to look back and think about how much I got to see though - castles in Germany, the tulips, neat things in Belgium, EuroDisney in France, etc. I'd love to go back as an adult - I'd have an even better appreciation. Oh, the school was government run, so we had regular school cafeteria food, and then like a snackbar (pizza, fries, etc) I went to school with Americans and Canadiens, but there was also a German section. |

Never, ever move a car cross country boarders, especially across the ocean. Its pure insanity. My Dads moving to Singapore. Cost him an ass load just to get our stuff there, let alone how long it takes, 2 months.
