I just don't get it
Town struggles after City Hall shooting - Crime & courts - MSNBC.com
Now, the night this happened a school board member was on the news saying that this is not a race issue, and it shouldnt' be portrayed as one. Yet, the very next day the shooter's family gets on the news, and shows no remorse or regret for anything that transpired. In fact, they basically imply it was justifiable homicide, because the city violated his civil rights. Right, wrong or indifferent, here's the problem- why can't people just take responsibility for their own actions? Why does it seem race is used as the first avenue to divert any responsibility? White people TRY and not make it a race issue, and yet it's the first thing black people revert to. I just don't understand this line of thinking anymore. 50 years ago, ok. But, when someone is obviously violating city rules (150 citations), how does this turn into a race issue? Would a white person w/ the same offenses play the same card? No.

I agree with you 100%. I seen something the other day that was saying within the next 40 years white people will be the minority. I wonder if we will be able use our race as a excuse for things? I have no problems with other races, just bullshit that they have race to use as a excuse for stuff.
