Who's graduating this year??

Well I know there are a few more college members around here. Personally I'm jacked to finally be graduating. I know I will miss school but the stress of this last year has blown ass! May 3rd is the day for me! B.S. in Business Administration. Anyone else graduating??

I did that in 1981 well would have if I didn't run away in 1978 but I still had a diploma by the end of 81

and i won't graduate from UMBC for another 2-3 years

i think he had a long conversation with the Dean about how the graduation rules are incorrect. chris laid out his plans to the Dean on how to fix said issues. he is awaiting his response..

Yes I am graduating. I can't wait to get the hell out of this town. 3 weeks!!!! I am so excited. I have gotten a degree in Finanace and Economics from the Business College here.

I am detoxing this summer in Sea Isle City NJ. I'm going to sit on the beach for a month and do absolutely nothing. Then I have no plans. I want to go travel Europe and somehow find out what the fuck I want to do with my life.

Im graduating this May 2008 and in December 2008 with another degree and my BA. It was about damn time and the huge layoff I had from school. Feels good though.

Sea Isle isn't to bad. Out of the NJ beaches, its one of the nicer ones.

I am with ya on Europe. Me and Sana have talked about possibly moving to Europe at some point. Not for ever, just to see the world with new eyes..

Chris, I thought you were going to be one of the few and the proud??? I wonder how you would take being yelled at by a drill instructor. You would always tell him how unfair he is being for making you push....lol

you guys think college is bad. I still have one more year to get my JD. I'll have been in school 9 solid years out of high school including most of the summers.

Congrats though, its quite an accomplishment to stick it out and finish college.

When I spoke with the OCS recruiters they told me I couldn't enter until I completed my awesome Probation period for my furnishing to minors charge. Entering the Marines was then delayed. It is one of the many thing I want to do.

About being yelled at by a drill instructor, you have to understand the person I am to understand why I don't have a problem with certain things. I joined a fraternity, and while much different that the military, it is also very similar. There are many things I did that I did not want to do. Yes, I got yelled all the time too. I chose to do these things and undergo the pressures of the task.

However, I was taught the true values of America as a child. The over-reaching hand of local, state, and federal governments generate a profoundly different response from me. The federal government today, IMO, is far too large. It is not what it was intended to be and it certainly holds many values I do not agree with. While I don't condone breaking laws, it is inevitable that many laws will be broken because of how large our government has made itself.

My reactions to certain things, especially pertaining to this University, are a reaction to the over governing we see in America. Something I do not believe in. I could go on and on, but I am simply trying to illustrate that I do not feel living in a country is the same idea as joining an organization designed to exemplify certain qualities in a person.

I made some changes to my schedule for my next two semesters and I'm walking in the Fall - I will still have two capstone courses to take in the Spring but that should be a cakewalk knowing I'm already 99% of the way "out" the door - I will be finishing with a double major in Finance and Management as well as a minor in Sociology (and the best part is that I've done it ALL having just started in the Spring of '06 )...

To top it all off I have committed to taking at least two Master's courses per semester the second I finish my graduate degree - that should put me getting my MBA no later than the Fall of '10!!!!
