College Textbooks

I could go on for hours about the scam this is. But today was the peak. I went to sell back one of my textbooks I used for 2 semesters. Bought it used for 90 in september. They were going to buy it back for 12.50, unless i had this cd that came with it. I went and found it, and sold it back for 62. Then they sell it used for 90 something again. The kicker is, the Cd was unopened, i never used it. What a fucking scam

That's just the way it is and the way it always will be. My school switched editions every other semester so chances are they wouldnt buy it back at all. My roomate bought 3 books that added up to about 350 bucks. They bought none of them back.

Personally I only had two books to sell back last semester, but they stopped buy-back early. Bullshit, but hopefully I'll be able to sell them on ebay this august.

Yea, my professor published a book and we HAD to buy it for the class. hahah, what a joke.

yep ive been there. i also had a prof publish a couple books that were required for the class. i think they were under $20 or so though

I say quit crying, youre damn lucky to get 62 bucks back. Thats more than I got back total for most semesters. Also, did you ever think about buying and then selling your textbooks online? Its a little more work but you save quite a bit.

not whining. just stating a fact. they tell you that the cd is needed for the class. i never opened it. I sell some of them online, the ones i know will sell (computer apps, history, etc.) other books aren't so sure, so i just take my money and deal.
