Been out for a while

Hello everyone.

Been a while since I've been lurking on here. The last time I posted was back when I had a litter of boxer puppies. All sold except the cute little female that I kept. I shipped the pups from east coast to west coast and a couple in between.

If anyone needs an AKC Boxer, hit me up. I'll have pups again in a few months, or I usually know of someone with puppies.

I've had shoulder problems on and off for the last year. In the past, a minor injury has usually healed and I'm back 100% in less than 3 months.

My left shoulder started hurting me pretty bad last Summer (07). I was still benching around 350, but it hurt like a MOFO.

I backed off the heavier weight and went down 50 pound, and continued to back down on weight. The pain never went away and I started getting weaker on the left side. I took a month off (first time ever totally staying out of the gym in 7 years). Went back and it was a little better, but within a few weeks, the pain was back if not worse.

I did this on and off until January of 08. My shoulder was so weak by then that I couldn't do a 25# dumbell latera shoulder raise. I finally broke down and went to an orthopedic surgeon. After an MRI and CT Scan, I was diagnosed for sure with a subscapularis tear. The doc thought more was wrong, but wouldn't be sure til he got in there.

I had arthroscopic surgery a little over 4 weeks ago.

1. Subscapularis tear
2. Bad Labral Tear
3. Bad impingement

I had all repaired and have a video on youtube if anyone wants to see it.

PM me and I'll send you the link, not sure if we're allowed to post links in posts on here.

Anyhow, I've been in Physical therapy for almost a week now. It already feels better than before the surgery. My god though, the pain for the first 4 or 5 days was probably the worst pain I've ever been through. Sleeping in the recliner sucked for those first couple of weeks.

The surgeon and PT believes that I will have a 100% recovery with no strength loss after I work back to where I once was at.

I won't be doing any upper body weights for the next 8 weeks, but it'll go pretty fast. I might slip in about 6 weeks, but it'll be super light stuff.

It's good to see the light at the end of the tunnel though. There for a while, I was wondering.
