Yes. we have a 25' Baja...that we are trying to sell. Sonis HAD TO HAVE this boat last year to replace our deck boat that I absolutely LOVED. You wanna know how many times we used it last year?- TWICE. Brand new boat has like 12 hours on the thing. $500/month + storage fees for this damn thing, and we used it TWICE.

What really drives me nuts is he had to have it, yet REFUSES to take it out!! I would BEG him to take it to the river or whatever, and he never would for fear of someone scratching or denting it. Men just drive me CRAZY.

It seems that a lot of people that have boats that aren't the type to take it at least twice a month seem to rarely take it out. Most people I know that have jet ski's though use them a ton.

Well, and if we're paying for it every month, then why can't we take it out??? Sonis says he can't really enjoy the boat because he's too afraid something will happen to it, and he gets really nervous when he has to drive it. Uh, let's see- that's why it comes with a WARRANTY, and that's why we pay INSURANCE!

He says he would rather use the money we pay for the boat every month to travel. But with the rising cost of just about everything, it doesn't look like we will be traveling as much this year as past years. And, with the economy& fuel costs in the toilet- it's going to be a long time before we get any bites on it anyway.

We have a boat. It's a 34' silverton. I have been a boater my entire life! I was totally a marina kid in the summer! Now my kids are.

In order to get your moneys worth out of it, you have to be willing to go every weekend. With dock, storage, insurance and boat payment, we spend just shy of $10,000 a year to have it. It's our summer long vacation... we don't usually take vacations to places, the boat is our vacation.

Having it on Lake Erie, you can go to the islands and canada and ports like Cleveland, Toledo and some up in Michigan. We go and stay at the islands probably like 3 times a summer.

Sonis has it on boattrader.com, and the Baja board. I will mention it to him to put it on Craigslist, but with gas prices through the roof, I really think that's the main reason we aren't getting any bites.

Nice boat pics.

Dreamgirl, how much does a boat like that usually cost? Just curious.

It really depends on the year. They still make my boat and brand new this past boat show it was $239,000.

The one we have is from 1984... it was taken care of and everything updated including flooring, cushions, air, so we paid on the high end for this age boat. We bought it 6.5 years ago for $42,500.

If you buy one from the '90's those are running from $70K - $120K.
