Friend selling GTI
Ok, my friend just called me up a few minutes ago and told me he is selling his 2002 VW GTI 20th edition for $16,000
Its a Yellow color with Black VW R32 Rims. 20% tints all around and black interior. It is still under warrenty for another 2 years with the dealer Mods include: Super Sequential Diverter Valve and Evolution Motorsport Cold Air Intake He will include 4 winter tires along with it and the original diverter valve along with original headlights... Right now it has aftermarket HID Headlights and a carbon fiber grill it is a turboed 1.8L with 6spd tranny Mileage is 56K THE CONS: Sensors are fucking up badly, his damn Brake light comes on and beeps every minute (makes me wanna shoot myself), windows act up (sometimes they don't open or close all the way), Moonroof is broken (for some reason it gets suck)...i was like WTF!!! anyway i am suprised the GTI interior is acting up at 56K (must be the cheap parts) but ya i am considering it, but than again it won't be much faster than my current car...I found a guy selling a '05 Impreza WRX (36K miles) for $16,500, so i am considering that. I also have to consider my insurance because its the THROUGH THE ROOF ($1900/yr) what do you guys think i should do??? Oh ya, i forgot the mention that i do have shop to put my cars in to be fixed. I usually put my car in the shop for every small amount of work, so i can probably fix the GTI up within a day and start the heavy mods

Is the Impreza an STI?
I personally hate VW their electrical is shit and they suck to fix. I also love the Subarus and the AWD. My gf has a 08 Impreza and it is a fun ride.

One thing i hate about the warrenty is if you want something fixed, you have to drop of the car and pick it up in 2-3 days (its weird, so thats why i am going to shit on the warrenty and fix it in my shop)

I'd go for the WRX over the GTI. While not an STI it still is decently quick and has the handling and AWD.

Well I was only suggesting the WRX, not the STI. You are right, the STI would be way too costly, and that big wing is fugly.

Ugly!! If I ever got an STI, it would be an '06, silver, with the wing chopped off. Maybe replaced with the regular WRX wing, maybe just leave it without a wing.

I like the wing, though I'm not a fan of the 08 STI...
AWD is the shit. Seriously. I also think aftermarket mods are better for the Subaru.

ITS ALL ABOUT COBB BABY, lol
the new '08 has better aerodynamics and can handle turns a lot better I still love STI's, i never care about looks, its all about the engine, tranny, suspenion, and brakes.
