You ever think of how much there is to do???

I was driving today and thinking of all the music I haven't listened to in the world. Then it got me thinking of how many books I will never get to read because there just isn't enough time to. or all the movies I will watch. and then I was thinking those are three pretty small scale hobbies in the scale of the world. imagine what you will never experience in the world because you won't have time to. so many places to go and different things to experience. and it cracks me up when people tell me they are bored or treat their bodies poorly. we have one life to live and we don't get it back. next time you treat yourself or someone else badly remember that this is IT you only get one go around. Remember that when you have important people in your life. I am guilty as the next person in not being a good friend to people I have been friends with over my short years. I guess maybe cuz I am turning thirty soon I have been thinking of what I haven't done in my life and what time I have wasted that I shouldn't have. And ironically I thought about this all day and I was being very productive. I got a lot done and it made me think if I was this motivated all the time what I could do. Well those are just some random thought of mine.

Thats why so many ppl are chasing money, problem is it takes most of them their whole lives to make the kind of money they need to live that kind of lifestyle. Its a catch 22.

That's what Bouncer does, he tries to read into every post and find a way to show you are depressed or on drugs

As for your topic, the things I would miss most doing if I don't take the opportunities is to travel and spend time with my family. So many other things I just look as stuff I could do but I would have to sacrifice some of my most important things to make time for.

and the people that have money dont realize that they are privileged and they take everything for granted. much like you and I do now. we could be kids in Sudan with fly's on our eyes and no feed to eat. to them, we are privileged rich people.

People treat you differently when you have the time and money to do as you please. Like Bouncer what said, wealthy people take everything for granted? Really? Maybe a short-sited person who doesn't understand.

perhaps you didn't understand my point. some people here were talking about "wealthy people". to many people around the world, a person that has food on the table every night and a bed to sleep in is considered wealthy.

Yeah...sometimes we forget that most of us on this board, not 'wealthy' in our own minds, have televisions that cost more than the average person in many countries makes in a whole year. Or that a lot of us on this board eat more meat in a week than some people could afford to consume in a whole year.

I misunderstood.

I'm not trying to be a dick or anything, but how much are you doing about it? To help the rest of the world, that is? A lot of people in this country talk the talk, but end up doing so little about it. I find that the most interesting part of this kind of conversation. Everyone gets choked up on how lucky we are, but they don't have the heart to do anything about it.

I'm not talking about doing anything about it, I'm talking about not taking for granted what we have here. What do you want me to do about it? Drive some food over to Africa in my jet car?
