First day today. Spent most of the day making smoothies for people. You wouldn't believe how much sugar goes into those things. The strawberry bannana smoothie is advertised to have like 30 grams of carbs. There are like 100 grams of sugar in that bitch!

Anyway first of all, the products. My manager is a pretty cool middle aged lady. She's in great shape, so I can actually respect her as a boss. I'm leaning which products to push, and which products to steer the customers away from. She referred to Muscletech as a 3rd Tier product. When dude came in and bought a big tub of CellTech, and she talked so much shit about him after he left. She also didnt have good things to say about BSN products. Basically the stuff we get a comission on is by "24/7 Fitness", and the GNC products, gold cards, etc. Shouldn't be too hard. I'm still never buying anything from a GNC after I leave. Something about paying $59 for a 2lb tub of protein doesnt seem right to me. But oh well its all about the money right now.

The smoothie girl that worked there is pretty cool, and looks pretty decent. She knows I'm engaged but she was flirting a little bit. Gonna need to stay away from her. Especially considering her boyfriend of 3 1/2 years is my boss lady's son.

GNC is overpriced man. Muscletech has some great commissions. When i was working there, for every big jug of Cell-Tech i sold, i would get $3.00, and Hydroxycut was $5.00 per bottle (small). Bigger bottle was $10.00


One thing that got to me was lying to customer, i just felt bad and guilty about it. So once i started closing every night by myself, i stopped lying, and sold smart.

We get no comission for MuscleTech. In fact, I got specific instruction to steer customers away from MuscleTech whenever I see them looking on that shelf.
