i aided an escaped convict (true story)
when i was about 18 me and two buddies were driving around (Harrisburg PA) with nothing to do on a Sunday afternoon in my friend's car. we saw some guy hitch hiking and i said to "pick him up." i hitch hiked a few times in my life so i knew how it is and nice it is to get picked up. the driver asked if he really should and said there is 3 of us so what is he going to do. so we picked him up.
we were only going to give him a ride up the road maybe a couple red lights or so. we asked where he was headed and he said Allentown (about 1and a half to 2 hours away) cause he had family there. we had nothing to do that afternoon so we decided to go on a little road trip to Allentown. on the way we asked him his name and he said "Frank." he told us jokes on the way and we had a good time. he even stopped at a bar for us to buy us beer since we were all under 21. after drinking a few brewskies we for some reason asked him again why he was going to allentown and this time he didnt mention family; he said he was just passing thru and then going to New York City. so we smoked a "J" and dropped him off. the next day at the store i saw my buddy who was with us and he said he had to show me something in the newspaper. it said there was an escapee who was considered very dangerous. it gave his exact description and said he headed either to Allentown or New York City. it also gave several different names he went by and they all had the name "Frank" in it. aint that some shit. we gave him a ride to exactly where he was going. i told freinds and people at work about it and they asked if i was going to call the police. well i am not a narc, especially to people that did me no harm. "Frank" did us no harm so i wish him well.
