Why is this medication prescribed?
Levothyroxine, a thyroid hormone, is used to treat hypothyroidism, a condition where the thyroid gland does not produce enough thyroid hormone. Without this hormone, the body cannot function properly, resulting in poor growth, slow speech, lack of energy, weight gain, hair loss, dry thick skin, and increased sensitivity to cold. When taken correctly, levothyroxine reverses these symptoms. Levothyroxine also is used to treat congenital hypothyroidism (cretinism) and goiter (enlarged thyroid gland).


Levothyroxine is ineffective for weight reduction in normal thyroid patients and may cause serious or life-threatening toxicity.

yes, your metabolism is increased while being on it.

thanx for your help, i was given this by a guy in the gym, he told me it would help me burn fat, not too sure where he got his hands on it, but i didnt want to take any until i knew what it was, that pic you posted is exactly what i have in front of me, the guy that gave me it says its what they prescribe to big fat ppl to help them lose weight..btw im not a big fat person! i just want to kick start some weight loss...(looking for the easy way) i asked him to get me a fat burner/app suppresant...something with a little kick..i like the hyper buzz........spose i`ll need to keep looking thanx again

forget SPEED... gives you the "munchies" if i remember correctly. i would suggest some OTC fat-loss supplements or venture into the clenbuterol/ECA stacks depending on your fitness history and desire. there's lots and lots of information on this board. read a lot of the forums

i have stacker 3, but i was given some "fat burners" by a girl that used to go to the gym(she`s left the area now DAMN!) and the were fab, made me give 100% in everything i did! work , gym ,housework, they also made me yak yak yak!! loved them! i think she called them T5`s, but no-one ive talked to in the gym know wut thet are.. :-( anyhoo.. she was a body builder and used to take these when she went to the gym, and when she was cuttin up for a comp..
thanx for all your help, i`ll use my stacker3 till i find what i`m looking for.feels like stacker is a plaseabo compared toT5`s (scuse the spelling..) thanx again.....i`ll take your advice and check out the forums later..duty calls..adios

welcome to the board.

just as a caution for your health, any "quick solution" to weight loss will only come back to bite you in the ass.

there is NO SUCH THING as a magic pill or a quick weightloss solution.

let me reiterate, THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A MAGIC PILL OR A QUICK WEIGHTLOSS SOLUTION.

post your diet, your training routine, and your fitness history in the training and diet sections and i'm sure you will be able to find some solid advice on how to achieve your goals - LONG TERM.
