I don't know if I would really have a top 3. Here are some of the things that I changed.
I started to eat alot more, typically 5-7 times a day, eating quite a bit each time. At least 250 grms of protein a day. When I first started bodybuilding I was so afraid of getting fat that I would starve myself. I was lean, but I looked terriable. I moved to a part of the country where a lot more people are into bodybuilding. My gym now is more more "competative". I started to meet some higher level amatures and pro's, and used them as motivation. My life became much more regular (8 to 5/5 days a week) and it just got much easier to get to the gym all the time, and the same time every day, and to push myself as hard as possible. I am going to post up some pics of what I looked like a long time ago so you can see to real "transformation". I just hit 230lbs this week. I am hoping for 240-245, but we will just have to see how I respond. Puma Quote:

"Experiencing this pain in my muscles and aching and going on and on is my challenge. The last three or four reps is what makes the muscles grow. This area of pain divides a champion from someone who is not a champion. That's what most people lack, having the guts to go on and just say they'll go through the pain no matter what happens. I have no fear of fainting. I do squats until I fall over and pass out. So what? It's not going to kill me. I wake up five minutes later and I'm OK. A lot of other athletes are afraid of this. So they don't pass out. They don't go on." |

Yeah, I do. Sorry, I have no defense here, I know its bad for me, I know it slows down my progress, and I know its killing me.
I am a nervous fuck, what can I say? I am one of those people that worries about everything, and its just about the only thing that calms me down. I know, its a really lame reason, I would like to give it up, but right now I have bigger things on my plate. Puma Quote:

I quit a couple of years ago but just stopped smokeless tobacco about 3-4 months ago. If you need tips let us know. P.S. I think Wheyman just quit so he may know better than any of us... |

Your right, I know. I just have no drive to give it up. I know all the bad things it does to me, and I just don't care.
My problem is that i am neverous guy, and I just can't stop worrying. It damn near drove me nuts in college, and I have been trying to calm down for the past few years. Its getting better (the heat in FL is frying my brain), but I still worry that I would go off the deep end if I did not smoke. Its lame as hell. But hey, we all have one weak spot, that happens to be mine. But it is one that I have promised myself I will work on, so we will see what happens. Thanks for the words of encouragment guys. Looking good Bro! I see alot of improvement but competing is a whole new level of training. I have thought about competing many times but i want to make sure that when i step on that stage i will win. So i would say dont jump into things to quick, give yourself atleast another year or so do get ever thing fine tuned, then start thinking about competing. You have made great progress though, and the advice given on this board is more than great and im sure that they will point you in the right direction.

How in the hell did this thread come back from the dead? Thanks for posting my recent pics; that makes me feel a little better; its funny to go from where I used to be to where I am now in one post.
I have some other pics that I am suprised I never put up. I will attach a few of them here. Maybe I did put them up before, but I can't find them. They are from about 6 months ago. I was just getting done with a cycle at the time; and had lost most of my water. Sorry about the resurection of this thread. Maybe I will put together a thread that shows the pics in correct order from over the past 2 years. Puma
