Yep, I finally got married
I got married last weekend in St. Thomas. Thought I'd share a couple pictures. It was a wonderful time. We had 42 friends and family join us on our wedding day. The family left the day after our wedding and we stayed down for an additional 7 days. It was 10 days off the diet. Now it's time to buckle down and get the diet back in check. But you have to have a couple cheat meals on your honeymoon. Okay, I had more then a couple but who's counting.

Hey.. I have a question for you about getting married in the islands.. Did you pay to fly everyone down there and for their hotel? I have always thought I would love that kind of wedding, but I would like to do it like yours, and have family and friends there. I just wondered what the ettiquite was when having a wedding on an island as far as who pays for what.

Again, congrats! You guys are a stunning couple.

We did not fly everyone down there. That would have been out of our budget. It cost $650 per person for flight and hotel for 5 nights and 4 days. A pretty decent deal. That’s why we had such a good turn out.

I loved St. Thomas. The people are friendly and it is a beautiful island. If you have time take a ferry over to St. John (about a 15 minute boat ride). Go to Trunk Bay. It is rated in the top 10 of the best beaches. I snorkeled there for a couple hours. Just magnificent. Here are a couple pictures but they do not justify how beautiful it really is. The picture below is the gazebo that we got married in.
