Help me please....

Hi Everyone. I'm pretty new to this board...looks awesome...see some names I recongize too

I'm going to post some pics...please help me! lol...I am kinda in a "where to go now stage". Should I try to continue dropping body fat and keep the lean mass I have now or should I bulk now and start cutting in January? I should probably get my bf checked, but I haven't faced it yet. Any suggestions welcomed...I know I have a tonne of work to do, but my heart and my head are there to do it!

My goal is to get up there on stage in May 2004 for the FAME fitness model search as my 1st comp.

You really do look great and you look like you have plenty of mass for fitness. You might try to maintain or build just a little and then start cutting closer to show.

Don't worry too much about BF% - it's just a number.

Best of luck

These things I said but you were
A million miles away
A million miles away

On my way for the day I find my heart is not for taking
And I know it's all but gone
It only served to make me cry
And I feel like I feel
Cause it's black here with your memory

Thanks TechnoBarbie. I get a little addled sometimes trying to figure this stuff out by trial and error. I have never competed before so that's why I am cautious about losing my lean body mass while trying to drop bodyfat now. I have been on 40/30/30 plan for the past 3 weeks. As long as I keep my protein 1g for every lb I should be fine right?

Thanks for the kind comments guys!

You look great Brenny!

Most people use 1.5g per pound of bodyweight..... but you might be able to get by with 1g. You will know if you are losing muscle or fat or both, mostly by how fast you are losing the weight.
You should be losing weight slow and steady.

Thanks guys for being nice.

Thanks Bruce...it certainly seems like I am losing it at a snails pace. My weight isn't dropping at all really. Weighed in at 135 this morning...same weight that I have been for 2 weeks now...better post my diet to be critiqued.

Yes - post up your diet please, sounds like you may have hit a plateau. But really - do you want to start losing this early?? I wouldn't, you'll peak too early and it would be hard to come in at peak condition contest time. IMO I would just look to maintain or if you want to add a LITTLE muscle now is the time and then do a 12-14 week diet prior to contest to come in lean and hard. For model search/fitness you don't want to come in too hard - you want some softness in certain areas.

I agree with techno barbie... Don't peak too early.

You want to be losing about 1 or 2 pounds a week when your losing fat.

Also, don't forget to carb up every 10 days or so.... this is very important and makes a huge difference towards your progress! Your body adapts to anything fairly quickly, diet included.....

I have no fear of fainting. I do squats until I fall over and pass out. So what? It's not going to kill me. I wake up five minutes later and I'm OK. A lot of other athletes are afraid of this.
