Raw Oats and upset Stomach

Why does this happen, does it happen to any of you all in here. Whenever I tend to put .5-1 cups of raw oats on my shake, my stomach hurts after an hour or 2. I get nasty gases and have to go to the restroom every 5 minutes, but nothing but gas.

I like the way they taste and everything but the after effects, I cannot stand them. I do not get sick or anything but just creates alot of bloat and gas. Does this happen to any of you all.

Maybe you should boil the oats a little and then add them to your shake? I always just drank the shake and ate the oatmeal...
