Question about gastric bypass

Hey I have a question about gastric bypass. Is there any way to control the amount of weight that you lose? Like if I ever had the opportunity to get it and was mentally prepared and strong enough to change my eating habits and stuff I'd consider it but I'd be afraid of losing too much weight, like I'd NEVER wanna be 130 pounds or less, so yeah, would there be a way to control the weight loss?

its from losing too much much weight too fast. most need plastic surgery to remove excess skin after drastic loss. I would say last ditch effort for someone who is very obese and has tried everything or has no mental control over food intake.

Because if you take their bf measurement you'll see that they are still fat. If you look at the before and after pictures again you'll see that they maintained the same body shape i.e. women still have the wide hips and most men still have the big round gut and love handles around the lower back. There is no body transformation like seeing the abs, pecs or tighter legs.

I know a few people who has done it and in fact one of them came to me yesterday and asked me if she can lose some of the fat from her hip area.

After talking to some of my doctor clients, this is the bad news for the people who has done it.(She performs at least three gastric bypass surgeries a week)

This is why there is no body transformation:

We all know to lose the fat in a proper way comes from proper eating. #1 rule is, person must eat at least a gram of protein per pound of body weight. if a person weighs 200lbs(since we are talking about gastric bypass we know that person weighs more than 200lbs)they have to eat 200grams of protein, (and this person probably needs more then 300grams a day) to get that amount they have to eat six meals a day with about 5oz of protein and some clean carbs and fat. if a person can't eat that amount of food and they start a fat loss regimen that means they are not feeding the muscle properly. If you don't feed the muscle right it can't do it's job, which is burning calories(and those calories comes from body's it's own fat storge). Well, after the surgery person can't eat more than a few bites at a time(I've seen my friend eat) and when that happens chain reaction begins. you don't feed the muscle properly so your body starts losing starts loosin muscle mass when you lose the muscle mass metabolism slows down and when that happens fat loss slows down and that's when you end up with that funny shape.

it makes sence wat ur saying but doesnt this contradict the theory of eating less calories then you burn you will loose weight? i dont mean to sound in anyway contradicting, would just like some clearing up in my own head.

No. This isn't true in the extreme. If you take in too few calories, your body goes into survival mode and conserves as many resources as it can. You won't build muscle and you won't lose fat. You have to take a progressive, systematic approach to decreasing calories in order for it to work.

What he's saying is that in order to burn calories, your muscles need enough fuel to do the work that burns those calories.
