Help, hard time losing bodyfat.

I'm a newbie, started around 1st of the year.
36 yrs old
6'2"
Currently 234 lbs. @ 27% bodyfat
Began serious diet and heavy lifting Jan 1, weighing 260+ @ 34%.
I weigh-in weekly utilizing a Tanita bodyfat scale. For the first 4 weeks of training, diet consisted of 1700 calories per day from egg whites, chicken breast, oats, ON whey powder in water and an apple or bananna. Protien intake was 250g-270g per day. During this time I was losing 5lbs of bodyfat per week while making gains of 2-3 lbs of lean tissue. Lifting 5 days per week heavy and intense.
Over the past 2 weeks, in hopes of increasing my lean tissue gains, I have increased my calories to 2400-2700 and protien to 375g-420g. Over last 2 weeks I have also introduced 1 T estergels.
At weigh in today the scale states that I have gained 3lbs BF and lost 7lbs lean tissue. What gives??? Workouts have only gained in intensity.

Your scale is wrong. The Tanita scales will register water gain as fat gain. For example if you start using creatine and gain weight from water retention it will tell you that you have gained fat. I see you are using 1t that will cause you to gain water weight. Remember these scales are based on electronic impulses measuring resisitance. Muscle is more dense than water. Tanita and the other fat scales read water as fat because of less electrical resistance. Best to use calipers for fat determination purposes. The accumeasure one sit plastic one I have found works best once you know how to use it properly.

Bodyfat scales are far from accurate as stated above. You can still track whether you are dropping fat with them nby weighing yourself early in the AM upon getting out of bed.Hit the bathroom and lose the fluid.Place the scale in the same level spot on the floor all the time.Don`t drink anything at all and make sure you piss out excess water and whatever else you might have to do.It won`t be an accurate measurement but if you take these suggestions you can still see the inaccurate % dropping or increasing.Hopefully dropping !!

What does the mirror tell you? Forget the scales, they are for anorexic and bulimia chicks. Dont get me wrong they can be helpful but they can also cause you more harm than good at times when dieting.

The best way to get your body fat tested is underwater weighing. It also gives lean to fat ratios. I dont know where u can get it done but we get it done at my school playin football by the health and exercise science dept.

Sounds like you're trying to pack on muscle more than burn off fat. If you're worried about bodyfat, you should be doing cardio. Weight lifting will get your body looking great, but will take much longer. I think you should just keep doing what you're doing, even if it seems slow. There's no way to stay fat on a good diet, and a hard workout. If you're in a hurry to lose your weight, add 30 minutes of cardio to your in between days. Run in the morning before you eat much so your body uses it's fat more than anything you've eaten throughout the day.
