Good Friday
Okay, so the deal is no meat on good friday. I don't think I can eat anytype of meat except fish and I don't like that. Should I just drink a lot of protein shakes? What can I do here?

Just drink a lot of protein shakes... I am sure for 1 day, you should be fine...
Look at it this way - the above describes what I deal with every day as I am vegetarian. I get about 160-180g of protein with milk and whey protein and about 30g with lentils. |

Same here. We Catholics get the fish menu all of Lent. Surprising how much you can hate tuna.

I'm catholic, and I'm eating meat tommorow. I done much worse things in my life than eat meat on good friday. If i'm going to hell, it's for the other bad stuff i've done in my life ...not for eating meat on good friday..
That's why they call Meat |

Family tradition. I am of the Hindu faith, and a subset of Hindus are vegetarian.
The definition of vegetarian I am using is where milk and milk products (butter, etc.) is ok but eggs/meat/fish are not. That is what I follow - the logic is that I don't eat anything that involves the taking of an animal's life. Now, to be absolutely pedantic about it, whey protein can be made from cheese that uses rennet for curdling and rennet is obtained from the stomach lining of calves, but while some members of my family do not eat cheese for this reason, I have made an allowance for whey so that I can at least lift and gain some weight! Whoa... this is veering dangerously off topic and I certainly don't want to spark off any veggie flame wars. |
